Just some random news post, to blow the dust away from this site.
- Mod related, this thing that caught my eye - Rise of Omnius, a mod for Tiberian Sun, has shown some new concept. YAR, see it!
New Nod Reaper and GDI Marine concept. Machine, the team leader, who also made these concepts, is soon to shp-ise them and put them ingame for their respectfull sides. Also, in the near months we may see an public release of the mod. Go check it out until then for some screenshots and teasers.
- Also, here is quite a peculiar article in GamaSutra.com on the developement of Tiberian Sun. It's an interesting read. So, yeah, see why TS was so belated and so many features were cut out.
- I'll end the news post with this clip - Sepultura's Ratamahatta. I suggest you watch it, as it is worth the time

The things that caught my attention today are quite a few. Just look at these beauties:
Yup, Gamemate's work. That guy makes most 3D games look like crap. Pure tallent. Now go on and check the forums of Future Crisis for more.
Also, the guys at Derelict Studios have started a new type of mod for C+C3 - Axis and Angels, whcih is not a World War 2 conversion. Well, not a full one anyway. They plan to make a mod, set druring WWll, where three factions fight amongst themselves for holy objects. However corby this may sound, it is really original and should be fun to try out. Here is some of the early concept work - Nazi Myrmidons from the Egyprian missions (yes, you read right!) :
Another brand spanking new C+C3 conversion I came across today is Command and Conquer: Crossfire. They too have renders of the new units which we'll see in the mod:
This time, after the fall of the USSR, the world is divided into three major factions that fight each other yada yada yada. The story is interesting enough in itself, so I don't want to spoil it for you. Go and read it.

Oh can't you blow a candle in the wind and see that times are changing!

Yes people, times are changing around here! There are numerous changes going around Freedom Studios and soon you are going to see them all.
But for now, let me tell you what's been going on latelly:
The Hosted section has been remormated and the mods organised in several categories, allowing for better orieantation and presentation. The new categories are Released projects, Beta Projects, Alpha & Concept, Miscellaneous Sites and Projects and Inactive & Archived Projects, where some mods were moved to, due to inactivity.
The former section Editing Source was moved into Hosted and it now has it's own Tiberian Sun, Red Alert 2, Generals and Tiberian Wars editing sections.
Also, some custom Nahaira news. Due to my mod being somewhat slow in public updates, this site now has a new fuction - a news bulletin for small, interesting things happening over the community. For instance, someone posting a cool voxel over at PPM - voila, I get stuff to write about and he gets some more attention. To start off, I decided to go back a week and inform the not-knowing:

Happy New 2007 Year!
I would like to wish all the people around the world a happy new year, full of good things and less evil around the world. And I would like to congratulate all European Union citizens on behalf of the two newest members - Bulgaria and Romania.
Also, I give my full support to the Bulgarian nurses in Libya, who are spending their eight year in an Arabic prison on false charges. Google has also joined the campaign to free them. Whenever there is a search on the word "Libya", a text, showing support to them, will appear. Let's all hope that justice will soon prevail.
Again, I wish all people, Happy New Year!

And here are the first three vehicles for Belarus:
T-72B Main battle tank - War Factory Main battle tank
T-72B is the standart issue tank for the armoured forces of the Republic of Belarus.
T-80U Main battle tank - War Factory Advanced Main battle tank
T-80 is an advanched MBT, gasturbine engine gives it high mobility and tank also has anti-air HMG on the top of the turret.
BTR80A APC - War Factory APC
The BTR80A is a modified version of BTR80. It has a new turret with heavy machine-gun, also it has high movement speed and BTR can even pass through water.

C&C Mahaira news
Well, not really I just wanted your attention.
Anyway, here are two new buildings for C&C Mahaira. But I won't tell you what they are. You'll have to guess. All I can say is that the second one is to have an upgrade and both of them are for the same faction.
